Dr. Wise explained the plan thoroughly prior to my decision to proceed; Dr. Solanki assisted with part of the procedure. Initially my son had seen a different orthodontist in the area and upon going to a new dentist, we learned that my son being in braces for 5 years (and still going) was excessive and they recommended we get a 2nd opinion. I was shocked to learn at our first appointment with Dr. Wise that my son had an upside down impacted baby tooth up by his nose-how did the other ortho miss that?!?!Within the first two months of seeing Dr. Wise, my son’s teeth went through way more changes than we had seen in 5 years with the previous ortho and by the end of the first year with Dr. Wise, my son was in his final wires. Now, 2 years after our first meeting with Dr. Wise, my son just got his braces out and is in his retainer. Do not mess around with anyone else—go see the staff at Fleming and Wise, they are AMAZING!!!"

"I’d like to thank Dr Wise, Dr Solanki and staff for the great job they did restoring my bite. At age 66, my bite changed drastically and I developed an open bite and eating was becoming a challenge. I was very nervous starting out and truthfully a little embarrassed at my age to be having braces but they put me at ease and gave me reassurance and it was well worth it. "Dr. Wise was absolutely amazing throughout our daughter’s Invisalign treatment. Because she lives away from home with a host family for gymnastics training and frequently travels out of the country, traditional braces would have been very difficult. Invisalign was the perfect solution, and Dr. Wise made the entire process seamless.One of the biggest benefits was the minimal need for in-person visits. Our daughter was able to scan her teeth weekly, and Dr. Wise carefully reviewed her progress remotely, which gave us so much peace of mind. "I am 83 years old. 2 1/2 years ago I decided to go to an orthodontist because my front teeth were starting to move around and get crooked. I wanted a quick fix but Dr Wise told me I could wear Invisalign so I signed up. The doctor and staff were so very nice & helpful that I didn’t mind wearing Invisalign and some bottom metal braces after awhile. Don’t think you are too old to feel good about your smile. I did it and I’m proud of it whether I live another year or another 20 years. 😀"

"This place is absolutely incredible. I had braces as a teen and after my retainer got destroyed, I figured my teeth would be fine. They werent. My teeth become more and more crooked the older I got. I had accepted I would never have a great smile. That all changed when I walked in the door at Fleming Wise & Scherer. They used new technology to capture a digital rendering of my bite and what was needed to fix it. I just got my braces off today and I couldn't be happier! The staff is amazing and the results are even better. 10/10"

"Sorry to see there are only 5 stars to give because if I could leave 10 stars… I would!! Dr Sam Wise and his staff have been so incredible the past several years with my two daughters. One daughter was a less complicated case, and she went through the traditional process and ended up with a gorgeous smile. My older daughter had a complicated case with a jaw defect that affected her self confidence, etc. When traditional and conservative methods didn’t work to fix her overbite, Dr Wise bent over backwards to help us find the right surgeon to deal with her issues. After several denials from insurance from other surgeons, Dr Wise reached out to another jaw surgeon who would then take on her case. The surgeon was amazing and we are so happy with the results and care we received. The collaboration between Dr Wise and the surgeon was amazing during every step of this process. My daughter is so thankful for the referral that ultimately fixed her overbite and has since said “changed her life”. The kindness didn’t stop there, as Dr Wise knowing how important for a high school senior to not have braces on… he moved up her removal of her braces so she can be braces free in May for her prom. She is so excited!These are the best of the best orthodontists and people. They treat you like family and go above and beyond. Thank you Dr Wise and team for everything! We could not be happier with both daughter’s results. I highly recommend this office!"

She—whose name I do not recall, as she introduced herself only once months ago and does not appear to be listed on the website—responded rather bluntly that it was not possible, citing their busy schedule. This contradiction was both frustrating and disheartening, as I had been led to believe I was on track.Fast forward to today (01/28/2025), I am finally being told that I am ready to have my braces removed. However, the earliest available appointment they can offer me is not until April 8th—several months later. This extended delay is extremely disappointing, especially after being told that I was progressing well and receiving assurances of an earlier timeline.I have also attempted to address my concerns directly with Dr. Wise but have not been able to speak with him. When I arrived for my appointment today, I specifically requested to see him to share my frustrations, but he did not make himself available. I was there for nearly an hour. This was not the first time I made such a request—I also asked to speak with him during my mid-November appointment, but again, no opportunity was provided. While I preferred to voice my concerns in person, it seems that Dr. Wise is far too busy to have a conversation with patients.In addition to the communication and scheduling frustrations, I’ve repeatedly experienced tardiness at nearly every appointment. It’s common to wait 20 minutes or more past the scheduled time to be seen. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the office has been concerning. The mirrors near the chairs and the protective glasses provided to patients are visibly dirty, which makes the environment feel unsanitary and unprofessional.While I appreciate the professionalism and expertise of the staff, these ongoing issues with communication, scheduling, punctuality, and hygiene have left me feeling dissatisfied with the level of care I’ve received. "Dr. Fleming and Dr. Wise are both great! I mostly saw Dr. Wise and from the very beginning he knew what needed fixed and how to fix it. I had braces applied, then an expander with the braces. I wore the expander for a little over a year I believe. I had the braces for 2 years and 5 months! Everyone in the office is friendly and accommodating! I live in East Liverpool, Ohio and made the hour and a half drive to all of my appointments. I am also a traveling nurse and lived in Atlanta, Georgia for 3 months, and Savannah, Georgia for 6 months during my treatment and if I ever had to reschedule any appointments it was never a problem. I also want to mention that the office is very updated with the tools and technology needed to make the process smooth. I went for consultations at a few different offices and Fleming and Wise Orthodontics was by the most updated. I would do it all again if I had to."

"Three years ago, I decided after having required back surgery at 15 years old, required heart surgery for my ASD.... I decided to take on a new challenge in my life that I chose to take. I have always been afraid of the dentist. I always had a great dentist growing up, but all that close up, in your face, spit, teeth, yuck yuck yuck. Plus, I had a baby tooth that never came down. The baby tooth never fell out, so the tooth that was hidden never came down. I saw Dr. Ash, he removed the baby tooth and then cut an opening for the hidden adult tooth to come through. I then went and saw Dr. Sam Wise and his team. Well, let's just say, I puked, I cried and I was the biggest baby at 41 years old then. I always had nightmares growing up that I had metal strands stuck in the top of my mouth and I always tried to pull them out. Well, now, I have metal in my mouth. Robbin Smith-Lang, is a trouper. She took such good care of me there and always was happy to see me, even with my necrotic tendencies with the dentist. I can say that I was excited to go see the dentist (Dr. Matthew Thiel and his team) and Sam Wise and his team. I can really tell they were genuinely happy to see me or to even hear from me when I would call them. We all know that I went through a lot.... tripping on my dog and falling flat on my wooden floor.......I had my braces off May 25th, 2022. I cannot believe the day came. It was like a party! "Great experience with Adult Orthodontics!!!! I’ve always been hesitant on being in braces at 28, but I’m so glad I finally got it taken care of. When I sat down that first appointment with Dr Wise, I made up my mind it was going to get done. We figured on 18-24 months in braces due to an impacted tooth. He told me it was going to be 18 months if all went well and boom it was almost exactly 18 months. Being an adult with braces, Dr. Wise even had my white rubber bands changed every month instead of every other month so my teeth stayed clean looking. He even offered for special events to change the rubber bands again at no extra cost. Staff educated you on proper care and the process. Being a business owner myself with a hectic schedule, it was AMAZING how fast you get in and out. Whenever your appointment time was, you get called back in immediately and then your out. "I should have written this review much sooner. I had my Braces removed Dec 13th 2016, after a year of wearing them. Wearing braces as it goes .... was a very good experience I had, going to Fleming and Wise Orthodontics. From entering the front door, to seeing the technician, then to consulting with the doctor.... I have nothing but good things to say. Everyone there is so friendly and knowledgeable. I never had to wait at appointment time.. I was usually taken back to the examination room and my procedure was started right away. and the technician which ever one I had ( and they are all great) would explain what they were going to do that day. I was in and out in no time. I could go on and on about our talks, procedures and experiences all too many to list here, but please know the office and people there are wonderful, as are the doctors, Dr. Wise was my doctor and I liked him form my first consultation. "Dr. Wise and Dr. Fleming are both awesome! My son started his treatments in second grade with Dr. Fleming, then worked with Dr. Wise for the second phase in middle school. Both orthodontists are professional, knowledgeable and kind. We're quite pleased with the results after the braces came off. Our son's teeth look great! On a side note, after he got the retainers he had an issue with the fit of them and a sharp edge. We called the office after hours and were able to call Dr. Fleming on his cell. He was out of town, but called us back and offered to come into the office later that day to fix the problem. Now that is dedication! You can't go wrong with this practice. Everyone is so nice!"
